This brake piston is make as an OE replacement of the Hegar 1 inch left front brake piston. Titanium brake pistons not only help shed weight, but also help dissipate heat. Keeping the heat away from your brake fluid preventing boiling. The piston is made from 6Al-4V alloy, which has the lowest thermal conductivity of all titanium alloys. Our pistons are also physical vapor deposition (PVD) coated to reduce potential corrosion when introduced to brake fluid.
